A Validated Data Token (VDT) is a cryptographically sealed, machine-readable proof object that represents verified real-world state — an identity, an organization, an asset, a device, or an event. It's built from authoritative-source responses, not user-submitted claims or uploaded documents.

A database record can be edited, backdated, or quietly changed. A VDT is structured across three layers — a blockchain token for existence and ownership, IPFS metadata for immutable attributes, and an append-only ledger for lifecycle history — so nothing can be silently altered without detection.

AI is probabilistic — it predicts likely answers based on patterns. Economic and regulatory state is deterministic — a license is either valid or it isn't. VDTs give AI a way to anchor its reasoning to deterministic truth instead of statistical inference.
